Eco’s Leadership

Mark Cheirrett, President and Chief Technical Officer, founded Eco Chemical, Inc. with partner Jerry Bermes in 1991. Mark’s background has been dominated by water and water chemistry since 1969: as water & waste lab technician in the Air Force; industrial water chemist and field engineer for Water Chemists, Inc. in Los Angeles; owner of Logic Control Systems, which innovated electronic control systems for process water chemistry; owner of Wasser Industries, a distributor of corrosion monitoring systems and corrosion prevention coatings; and co-founder of Wasser High-Tech Coatings, a manufacturer of moisture-cured urethanes.  Finally, anticipating increasing regulations at all government levels for clean water and air, Mark formulated one of the first waterborne polyurethanes on the market and founded Eco with Jerry Bermes in 1991.

In 2010, Jerry Bermes retired and Mark Cheirrett assumed full ownership of Eco Chemical.
